To reconnect to the GlobalProtect VPN, click “Enable”.To disconnect from GlobalProtect VPN, select the GP icon at the top of the task bar and click the three horizontal bars to bring up the menu.You can Configure a GlobalProtect Gateway on an interface on any Palo Alto Networks next-generation firewall. Once complete, the VPN should say “Connected”. You can configure different Types of Gateways to provide security enforcement and/or virtual private network (VPN) access for your remote users, or to apply security policy for access to internal resources. Accept the security policy by clicking the X in the top left corner. When prompted, select OK to allow GlobalProtect VPN access to the Desktop folder.Enter your OUNetID (4×4) or OUHSC ID and then click “Sign In”. Once the GlobalProtect client connects to the portal it will prompt for your username and password.Set the portal address to ouvpn.ou.edu and select Connect.Launch the GlobalProtect app by clicking the GP icon (top right corner of the task bar).After installation is complete, close the installer.Once Allowed, click the lock in the bottom left and exit. Click the “Allow” button at the bottom of the “Security & Privacy” box to allow the Palo Alto Extension. Click the lock icon in the bottom left corner and enter your Username and Password.When this security box appears, users MUST click the “Open Security Preferences” Button (NOT the OK Button).

When prompted, enter your computer's User Name and Password (NOT your OU account information, but the credentials for your computer), then click install software to begin the installation.

Click install to confirm that you want to install GlobalProtect.

On the Installation Type screen, select the GlobalProtect installation package check box, and then click Continue.

On the destination select screen, select the install folder and then click continue.

From the GlobalProtect Installer, click continue.

Open the Global Protect installer and follow the prompts.

If prompted, select “Allow” to download GlobalProtect VPN.

Password: Your Cedar Crest Network Password.

Username: Your Cedar Crest Network Login.

To connect to the Cedar Crest Network, fill in the following information, then click Connect.

GlobalProtect will automatically start after the installation.Click Close after the installation is complete.At the User Account Control box, click Yes.Click Next at the GlobalProtect Setup Wizard dialog box.If you receive this dialog box, click Run.After logging in, you will be able to choose the client that is right for your computer.This is the same username and password that you would use to log in to Cedar Crest Online (Canvas), computers on campus, Astra Schedule and other resources). Login with your Cedar Crest network login credentials. Next, click on the 'Proceed to (unsafe)' link, it is safe.You may see a warning in your browser such as the one below, warning you that the security certificate is not correct for the website.If you have trouble downloading the install, you can access them from our shared OneDrive file at the link below (must login to Office 365 for access). You will need to be off-campus and at the computer that you would like to install the VPN client.Follow these instructions to install the Palo Alto GlobalProtect VPN client on your computer.
